About Court Listings Today UK
Court Listings Today UK is an independent website that helps people find courts and tribunals in England and Wales, understand the hearing lists they publish, and prepare for a day in court.
Why we exist
Finding out where a hearing is, which building to go to and what to expect can be confusing, especially when you are worried. The official sources are accurate but spread across several services. We bring practical information together in plain English: addresses, directions, list explainers, guides for defendants, witnesses, victims, families, the public and journalists, and a single search across the lists we hold.
What we do
- Publish a page for each court and tribunal venue, with its address and links to official information.
- Show Crown Court and magistrates' court hearing lists, with when HMCTS updated them and when we last checked. See how we get our lists.
- Let you search every list we hold by case reference.
- Explain list types, hearing terms and what to expect, with free tools that run in your browser.
What we do not do
- We never show or store defendants' first names. Where the list gives a readable surname they appear as
****** SURNAME, and cases with reporting restrictions stay fully masked. We also leave out ages, addresses, notes, and youth and restricted entries. - We do not give legal advice and cannot tell you whether you must attend a hearing.
- We are not HMCTS, a court or a government body, and are not endorsed by HMCTS.
Where our information comes from
Hearing lists and court details come from official HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) services. Public sector information is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Guides and explainers are written by us from general public information and are not a substitute for your court paperwork or a solicitor.
Corrections and removal
If something is wrong, tell us using the contact page. To have a case reference hidden from this site, use the removal request page.
This site is independent and is not endorsed by HMCTS. Official court information is sourced from HM Courts & Tribunals Service.
